Tom Hall

Project Lead

Tom Hall is a meticulous project engineer and master craftsman. Starting with Mētis at the beginning in 2014, Tom has played an instrumental role in numerous projects; both commercial and residential. Lending skills in project management and creative problem solving, he’s helped design and craft many unique and complicated pieces while with Mētis. With over twenty years of experience, he is a consummate professional, and works tirelessly to ensure a project’s goals are met. The most enjoyable aspects of any project for Tom are; conducting complicated layouts, milling large timbers and all facets of finish carpentry. You can view some of Tom’s best work at Omega Ouzeri, Optimism Brewery, Rhine Haus, Elysian Taproom GT and most recently at Katsu-Ya.

Prior to Mētis, Tom spent 10 years as a residential seismic retrofit specialist. As part of Seattle’s “Project Impact” Program, he coordinated with the Seattle Office of Emergency Management and SDCI, to teach homeowners and contractors about the local standards for seismic retrofitting and how to use the pre-engineered design. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from SUNY New Paltz in New York; which is always evident when viewing his work.

Originally from Binghamton New York, Tom is now a resident of the Delridge neighborhood. When not at work, Tom enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing soccer, drawing and making sculptures. He was, and still is, very much involved in the Seattle art scene.
