Christine Palmer
Project Engineer
Christine’s knowledge about construction and design run deep. She’s been redesigning + renovating houses for over 25 years. Everything from hand-drawn architectural drawings to landscaping is in her wheelhouse. Although design is where her passion lays, she doesn’t mind getting in there and doing the work to get something done.
Mētis is a place that Christine knows quite well, spouse to Metis owner, Mikel Palmer, she is excited to help Construction Operations + Project Management staff to lighten their load. Christine studied art at WMU, (everything from steel sculpture to photography) with a focus in painting. Married to Mikel, they found each other in 1997, both eager to create better spaces, they became an unintentional design/build team.
Born + raised in Michigan, they made the move to Seattle in 2005 with their two young boys in tow. Christine was fortunate to land a job with an architect (Ryan Grey Smith) whose design studio focused on prefab backyard structures (Modern-Shed) and sculptural lighting (3-Form Light Art). Working in this creative environment as an executive assistant, director of operations and leading the national sales team all gave her business insight and fed her passion for details + space.
Since 2011, she’s been a Real Estate Broker, which continues to satisfy her love of architecture, but most importantly has gifted her a wonderful community of people (clients, colleagues + contractors). At the start of 2024, she officially launched a design consultation firm, ModernSprout Design to begin a shift into creativity and collaboration.
